Overview
This guide explains how to submit a Github repository on learning space for an assessment.
Some modules may as you to do to this as part of the module brief. Make sure you follow the instructions the module leader has provided carefully as there may be additional requirements, such as Using spesific Github Template.
Before you start
Before you submit a repository on learning space, ensure:
- You have created the repository and pushed your work
- Your repository has the correct owner
- Your repository follows the correct naming convention
Submitting a repository on learning space
- Navigate to your repository on the Github Enterprise Server
- Check that the work you intend to submit is present in the repostory
- Check the repository is the one you intend to submit
- Remember You can continue to work on the repository up until the deadline
- Copy the URL of your repository from the URL bar
The link should start with:
https://github.falmouth.ac.uk
- Right click on the URL bar in your web browser
- Select copy from the context menu
- Right click on the URL bar in your web browser
- Navigate to the assessment queue on Learning Space
- The assessment queue is located under the “Assessment” area for the module you are submitting to.
- Please ensure you are submitting for the correct module, and the correct assignment
- Paste the link to the repostory in the submission area
- If the submission area is not set-up to accept text-based uploads, check that:
- A git repository is what is required for this assessment (and a poster is not requested instead)
- Let the academic in charge of the module know that you cannot submit a text link
- As a last resort, you can upload a text file containing the link to the repository
- If the submission area is not set-up to accept text-based uploads, check that:
- Ensure that the link you have submitted works
- Ensure that the link you have submitted works - this is important, if the academic cannot access the repository they cannot mark it.
Remember Always leave plenty (at least a day or two) of time for submissions. If your work is not submitted by the deadline, you grade may be capped, or receive a mark of zero for non-submission. Technical issues will not be grounds for EC/appeal.
